Knocking on the door..
O Lord, we ask You by Your honor and our humiliation, by Your power and our weakness, and by Your lack of need for us and our need for You. We stand before You as wrongful servants. You have lots of servants apart from us, but we have no Lord except You. There is no refuge or escape from You but to You.
We supplicate and implore You as Your needy, humble, and fearful servants.
We stand before You in total submission and with tearful eyes and humble hearts. We implore You to forgive us and all Muslims and to admit us into Your mercy, O the Most Merciful of those who show mercy!
A servant has none but his Lord to seek help from.
He is the only One Who helps us at times of distress and hardship.
He is the Owner of the w hole world and all that inhabits it.
Who can remove afflictions, near or distant?
Who can prevent disasters just before they strike?
It is only You, our Lord, Who does this.
In the lines to come, we are honored to speak about one of the beautiful names of Allah, namely “Ar-Rabb” (the Lord), Blessed and Exalted.
Allah Almighty says:
{(He is) the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests.}
[Al-Rahmān: 17]
He also says:
{“Peace”, a word from a Most Merciful Lord.}
[Yasīn: 58]
Our Lord is the Creator, the Owner, the Manager, and the Disposer of affairs. He is the Lord of lords and the deity of worshipers. He possesses the kingdoms, the kings, and all creation. He manages the affairs and interests of His servants, human and jinn, and He is the Sustainer in the worldly life and in the Hereafter.
